Client: Honda
Project: Honda Fit Challenge
Role: Art Direction
Game Production: Think Pixel Lab
The Challenge
Honda sought out to raise awareness of its newest generation of the Honda Fit with a younger crowd. They looked for ways to generate conversation with the people they thought would most likely buy a subcompact car in metro areas, hipsters and trendsetters.
Solution
We realized our target audience had a proud, competitive perspective on their parallel parking abilities. We wanted to allow potential customers to test their strategic parking chops and win an opportunity to compete for real behind the wheel of a car.
8 Bit Game
Our team developed a mobile game specifically designed for Honda Fit owners. The game challenged players to successfully parallel park their virtual car, and each level completed acted as an entry into a sweepstakes for a chance to win a spot in the LA parking competition. In addition to the competitive element, 8 Bit Game also featured social sharing functionality, allowing players to brag about their achievements and encourage friendly competition among friends. Overall, the game was a fun and engaging way for Honda Fit owners to practice their parking skills and potentially win a chance to compete in a real-life parking competition.
On Site Activation
Our team helped organize and execute an on-site activation event featuring a group of influential advocates. The event gave attendees the opportunity to test drive the vehicle, learn about its features, and participate in a parallel parking challenge hosted by Flula Borg. This event provided a hands-on experience for the influencers to get a feel for the vehicle and showcase their parking skills in a fun and engaging way.
